Has your preschooler's new best friend - their imaginary friend - started misbehaving? This article discusses how to indulge your child's creativity while still reinforcing your rules through four simple steps.

Step 1: Ask questions. If your child is misbehaving and saying their buddy is doing it, ask why. This allows your child to express how their feeling through their imaginary friend.

Step 2: Use discipline. Chances are, your child is trying to figure out how much they can get away with. If their imaginary friend's behavior calls for it, use time-outs (or whatever discipline method you prefer).
