Piestewa Family Home Makeover
Sundays 8/7c on ABC
In mid-April a producer of the show contacted us and asked if we would like to be involved in one of their great home makeover projects.
Without question we gladly provided some of our princess and fairy dress up costumes, along with many accessories, as we were told the little
girl Carla, loved dressing up as a Princess.
On Sunday May 22, 2005 the season finale of the hit show featured the home makeover project that we were asked to be a part of.
During the showing of the newly created and decorated rooms, the viewers were able to see the Princess Themed room that was
designed especially for Carla. It was great to watch Carla's reaction as she opened her closet and saw all the dress up clothes
and costumes that were provided to her.
We would like to thank the producers of the show and the Piestewa family for allowing
us to be a part of their special experience. If you would like to see other products that were provided on the show please

The following is the Piestewa Family story that touched ours and many Americans hearts:
"It is very important to me knowing that my family
is taken care of "
-Pfc. Lori Piestewa on the day of her deployment
March 23, 2003 Nasiriyah, Iraq - One wrong turn changed everything. The 507th Maintenance Company fell under attack by Iraqi insurgents
just one week after the Iraq War began. Soon our nation became captivated by the story of POW's Jessica Lynch and Shoshanna Johnson and how
Jessica's roommate and best friend, Lori Piestewa, lost her life trying to save her friends.
Lori, a member of the Hopi Tribe, is also believed to be the first Native American woman to die in a foreign war.
She was a true warrior spirit who fought and died for her country. Her children are being cared for by her parents,
Percy and Terry Piestewa. Before their surprise visit from "EM:HE", the family lived in a 1200 square-foot mobile home
on a reservation in Tuba City, Arizona.
Percy, a junior high school administrative assistant and his wife, Terry, who works as a maintenance worker at the
same junior high school, wanted to move to Flagstaff, where they could be closer to family. Now, with help from
neighboring tribes, as well as the "EM: HE" design team, the Piestewas have a new home to raise their grandchildren in.
They also have a proper place to put all of the many mementos that they've received from people all over the world who
wanted to honor their fallen heroine daughter.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is the
president of Endemol USA. The series is executive-produced by Tom Forman. The show airs Sundays (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET),
on the ABC Television Network.
